Job Description:
We are seeking a Production Software Engineer (on-site role) supporting the Electronics & Controls group.
  • Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following items:
  • Production Readiness of Embedded Software
  • Lead transition of controls from prototype to production maturity level
  • Follow and refine development and release processes from prototype to production.
  • Direct design review and DFMEA activities for embedded software
  • Ensure software releases comply with internal standards and processes including requirements, release notes documentation and diagnostic guides
  • Mentor team members to build and grow this capability.
  • Safety Implementation
  • Determine industry and customer safety requirements for each application
  • Support analysis of systems to define desired functional safety ASIL rating
  • Implement plans to meet proper safety rating
  • Verification and Validation Testing
  • Formalize software verification and validation plans
  • Develop and conduct Model-In-the-Loop (MIL) verification activities
  • Establish and implement a Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) verification process
  • Support software validation testing on vehicles
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues ranging from harnessing to controller states
  • Vehicle production software design and architecture experience in military, motorsport, or commercial standards for embedded software and interfaces.
  • Software verification experience (MIL or HIL)
  • Agile methodology
  • UDS (Unified Diagnostic Service) experience
  • Electronics architecture and schematic experience
  • Electric and hybrid vehicle exposure beneficial
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science
In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, the ideal candidate must possess but not limited to all the following:
  • Be a team player
  • Have great attention to detailSome travel may be required depending on the program
  • This position will require lawful access to ITAR/EAR controlled information and employees in this role will need to meet those requirements.
Requirements include US Citizenship, US Permanent Resident or ability to meet licensure requirements.
