Department Summary:
The Property Restoration Coordinator position is a complex and analytical customer service oriented role.  The position requires the managing and scheduling of the lawn and street repairs for our customers’ and local municipalities’ properties that were damaged by gas and electric crews during construiction. Property Restoration is final contact with the customer. This role requires strong customer service, communication, problem solving and negotiation skills. The Coordinator must determine the safest and most cost effective way to satisfy the customer. This role is key to providing Hometown Service with World Class Service to our customers. 
Job Description/Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service through empathy, negotiations and problem solving
  • Research and investigate property restoration claims to determine validity and scope
  • Plan, schedule and create property restoration work orders
  • Manage workload and completion rate of multiple property restoration contractors by effectively assigning work based on order scope, location, contractor capacity, performance and required completion dates
  • Manage cost for repairs and negotiate cash settlement agreements
  • Manage property restoration contractor purchase orders and requisitions and review invoices for accuracy
  • Research permitting needs, request permits and notify municipalities and local government agencies of restorations
  • Maintain logs/spreadsheet and prepare reports in order to track orders and completion rates
  • Meet with customers and conduct onsite inspections of crew and contractor work as needed
  • Track and provide feedback on crew and contractor performance
  • Escalate emergency matters, risks and customer complaints to leadership and other departments
  • Take steps to develop and perform countermeasures to alleviate issues
  • Facilitate meetings with contractors to discuss schedules and status of assigned work
  • Respond to and resolve formal and informal complaint
  • Skills: Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A combination of education & work that equals at least 4 years’ experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience in customer service and/or the hospitality industry
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • SAP Proficiency (Front and Back Office)
  • Proficiency in Track Star, SharePoint and Google Maps
  • Previous scheduling experience
  • Knowledge of permitting, hard/soft surface repair requirements and restoration materials
  • Successful negotiating experience
  • Proficiency in the understanding of Lean Management

  • Work cooperatively with others toward common group objectives, demonstrate respect for the ideas and contributions of other team members, cultivates positive relationships with other associates, and provide assistance and support to others
Hours and Travel:
  • Hours of operation are between 7:30 am – 6 pm
  • Hours may include evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime
  • Ability to travel to work sites for inspections may be required
