Job Description:
  • The function of the Quality technician is to review, inspect, test and dispose of all inventory and assembled parts for functionality and reliability.
  • 65 % Performs electro-mechanical inspection on incoming materials, in-process production and finished parts for further disposition
  • 20 % Performs visual inspections and cleaning operations on incoming materials, in-process production and finished parts for further disposition when appropriate
  • 10 % Documents results in reports and logs in quality database and consults with Manager regarding information
  • 5 % Maintains all measurement equipment in operating order and promotes process improvements where appropriate
Additional Job Details:        
  • Will be expected to communicate with co-workers, manager, engineers and possible company leaders and/or outside vendors
  • Must be able to read Work Instructions written in English; communicate with management, collaborate with other technicians.
Other Requirements:
  • Must work in a cleanroom fully gowned in PPE, steel-toes shoes, goggles and hood.
  • Must work with class 4 lasers which require the use of protective eyeglasses
  • Good manual dexterity needed to operate hand tools, power tools, cameras, microscopes and hand-held gauges.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to handle cleaning and other solvents
  • Must be able to stand, walk and move for 75% of the day
  • Must be able to wear PPE for 80% of the day while working in a cleanroom environment.

Education & Experience:
  • S. Diploma
  • 2-3 years of related experience in an Electronic manufacturing environment
  • Experience, and a solid understanding of detailed measurement tolerances in metrics, degrees, watts and amps.
  • Must have Basic computer skills; basic excel, saving and opening in windows, data base looks up and entries.
  • Experience with cleaning solvents and cleanroom procedures preferred
  • Able to manipulate small parts with tweezers
  • Able to use calibration tools and understand results
  • Good Communication skills
  • Solid work ethic
  • Flexible to be able to handle multiple priorities at the same time
  • High level of attention to detail
