Operations Management Practitioner #
Job Description:
Linux Admin with 5+ years of experience, Expert knowledge in Unix operating systems (Red hat and SUSE). Experience in Analyzing performance and troubleshooting skill in Linux environment. In-depth experience with following Volume Managers/Storage (Red hat LVM, SUSE LVM, Bind mount concepts, SAN and NAS). Hand on experience in Git, GitHub, Jenkins. Proficiency in VMware and Linux server function resides within Technology Infrastructure. Individual must be customer oriented, focused on solutions through teamwork. Must be able to learn and adopt current processes and adopt and improve on Standards of Procedures. Good communicator, verbally and written, able to interact with internal and external teams to understand requirements and provide knowledgeable feedback. Work closely with Development, Operations and DevOps Teams to build and support Dev Ops tools to include developing playbooks, ensuring production readiness of the applications, and validate the appropriate support mechanisms are fully functioning. Good to have Knowledge: Should have very good knowledge in Virtual/Physical Infrastructure. Should have good knowledge in Bash scripting and able to write script to automate tasks. Should have good knowledge any one of the configuration management such Chef compliance and habitat. Should have good knowledge in Jenkins. Minimum understanding of vRA/vRO orchestration platform. Good to have Change/Problem management process. Minimum 5+ years of experience in the area of day to day Unix operations, customer service, and or problem resolution Incident and Customer tickets to be handled. General understanding of the ITIL/Agile process and how they fit into the ITO organizations.
