Validation Engineer – Senior #907757
STLA Frame/Large - Power Gates/Frunks/Seats / HIL support / PWB / Lab Support
  • The HIL Systems Validation Engineer - will be responsible to perform ECU and Software development and validation for seats subsystems with responsibilities including:
  • Program & supplier management, open issue tracking with proactive issue resolution.
  • Delivery to all vehicle program validation milestones.
  • Requirements clarification and cross-functional team alignment.
  • Generate program development and validation timelines.
  • Lead design of automated test procedures using National Instruments Labview & Test Stand, DSpace Control Desk , Matlab/Simulink.
  • Develop and Conduct ECU validation methods using HIL tools from National Instruments and DSpace.
  • Develop software test models using Matlab/ Simulink tools, LabView, Test Stand, Control Desk, Failure Sim, Failure API, etc.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to execute and validate complex EE systems.
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering field from an ABET accredited university
  • 3+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering or related fields
  • 3+ years of experience in Automotive/Industrial Electronics
  • Capable of creating Logical as well as Physical Schematics
  • Hands on experience working with DSpace SCALEXIO system, National Instruments PXI
  • Experience designing automated test procedures for DSpace SCALEXIO system, using Dspace Control Desk, Failure_Sim, Platform_API, AND for National Instruments PXI using Labview and TestStand.
  • Experience designing Simulink Models for DSpace Control Desk.
  • Experience with communication networks (i.e. CAN, LIN, FlexRay, etc.)
  • Experience authoring requirements and specifications
  • Working experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Highly motivated/self-starter with proven leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills
Preferred Requirements:
  • Master of Science in Applied Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or related Engineering field from an ABET accredited university
  • Propulsion experience/ exposure or training
  • Experience in using INCA, Matlab, DOORS, and Visio
  • Experience using CANalyzer or CANoe
