Job Description:

Duties:

• This role will be hybrid with the expectation to be onsite each week usually on Mon, Tues, Thurs and remote work on Wed/Fri.
• We would prefer candidates close to Jackson, but we are open to candidates that are closer to other service centers in Michigan.
• Maintains and updates custom applications to meet HVD Engineering requests.
• Collaborate with users, program & project managers, and other appropriate stakeholders to understand project requirements.
• Coordinate with IT to transition HVD Engineering from existing custom software to commercially available software.

 
Key Skills include: 

• VBA and .NET (VB and C#), advanced SQL, database admin (security, stored procedures, triggers, etc.), Windows server admin (security, services), DevOps repo, SSRS (Reporting Services) reports

 
Responsibilities include:

• Responsibility to work with CE IT team and HVD Engineering to support existing software during transition period.
• To evaluate and develop transition plan to gain approval from leadership.
• To implement transition plan to Azure Cloud and move away from custom built software as much as possible with the intent to enable better collaboration with external A/Es.

 
Education:

• Requirements Bachelor's degree in Information System or similar is preferred, but equivalent experience will not be overlooked.
• Strong knowledge of IT and/or business functional area.
• Possesses knowledge and experience leveraging both IT and business solutions.
