The Opportunity

• Across our portfolio, we have thousands of connected devices generating proprietary data in real-world environments.
• We're building AI/software products that monetize these assets and create new recurring revenue streams.
• You'll lead innovation pods within our company, taking AI/software products from 0→1 and beyond in solution areas like: energy management, supply chain optimization, manufacturing automation, food retail systems, or industrial IoT.
• You'll have autonomy, direct leadership visibility, and the opportunity to build transformative products within a Fortune 500 enterprise.

 
What success looks like:

• 6 months:Launched MVP with validated market receptivity
• 12 months:Product customers pay for with clear path to scale
• Beyond:Key architect of AI product capabilities across our company

 
What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end product development for AI/software solutions that enhance and monetize our hardware
• Lead cross-functional innovation pods (5-10 people: engineers, strategists, GTM support)
• Translate customer problems into AI/ML solutions (e.g., predictive maintenance, energy optimization, supply chain intelligence, computer vision, intelligent automation)
• Work with data scientists and ML engineers to assess data quality, model viability, and technical feasibility
• Bridge hardware realities (sensors, connectivity, edge computing) with software/AI capabilities across the IoT stack
• Build credibility with business unit leaders and translate technical AI concepts for diverse audiences
• Run rapid experiments to validate product-market fit and define success metrics
• Create replicable playbooks for broader organizational adoption

 
What We're Looking For
Required:

• 10+ years in product management shipping AI/ML-powered products
• 0→1 product building experience in ambiguous environments
• Experience with physical products, IoT, or hardware-software integration
• Track record influencing without authority in matrixed organizations
• Technical fluency: engage confidently with data scientists/ML engineers on model architecture, training data, evaluation
• Understanding of AI/ML fundamentals: supervised/unsupervised learning, classification, prediction, generation, model evaluation
• Experience with generative AI products and LLM integration
• Familiarity with IoT stack: sensors, connectivity protocols, edge computing, cloud infrastructure
• Ability to translate business problems into clear AI/ML product requirements and lead cross-functional teams

• Familiarity with edge AI, computer vision, predictive analytics, or industrial automation
• Corporate innovation or transformation role experience
• Experience working with Japanese companies and/or Japanese language abilities
