Job Description:
  • IT Financial Analyst We are seeking a highly motivated and organized IT Finance Analyst to join our Industrial Systems IT team.
  • This role will play a key part in supporting the organization, monitoring, and driving the successful performance of the Industrial Systems IT Leadership Team.
  • You will be involved in a variety of activities that contribute to the smooth operations and achievements of a large-scale enterprise technology team.
  • The IT Finance Analyst (agency) will collaborate with the Business Operations Lead and IS IT colleagues to organize, support, and monitor the financial operations and performance of the Industrial Systems IT Team.
 
Skills Required:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
  • Analyze actual financial results against budget and forecast, providing variance analysis and insights into key business drivers.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business initiatives and strategic planning.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
Reporting & Analysis:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create ad-hoc reports and analyses as needed to support business decisions.
  • Support development, usage and maintenance of financial dashboards
  • Support the development of financial reporting presentations
Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Work with department managers to develop and monitor budgets.
  • Provide guidance and support to budget owners throughout the budget process.
  • Analyze budget variances and make recommendations for corrective action.
  • Develop and maintain forecasting models to predict future financial performance
Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Document financial processes and procedures
Other Responsibilities:
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with corporate finance and planning teams
 
Skills Preferred:
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
  • Experience with financial planning software (e.g., Nicus, Peoplesoft GL).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
 
Experience Required:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a financial analysis role
 
Experience Preferred:
  • Knowledge and experience in IT Finance Operations.
  • This includes a strong understanding of IT processes, workflows, and best practices.

Education Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
