The Storage Administrator focuses on four major areas:The Storage Administrator focuses on four major areas:Working with the business: Collaborates with the business, IT colleagues, and other stakeholders to define detailedrequirements, assess impact on existing capability, and develop / present solutions with the aimof creating one global common source. Acts as an internal consultant, providing technical guidance and business process expertise onprojects, and researches strategic planning matters from a technical or business standpoint. Develops cross-functional impact assessments as it relates to any functional or technicallandscape changes/revisions/additions. Applies a broad knowledge of various technical functions to accurately anticipate organizationalimpacts.Strategy & Vision: Assist with establishing the Storage Services strategy together with other team members andthe relevant stakeholders. Contribute to maintaining best practices in the storage team. Designs and delivers end-to-end solutions, which align with overall storage service strategy. Participate in developing/enhancing global strategies to support the entire organization.Technology Leadership: Provides leadership and direction in Storage Services, aligned with the storage team. Facilitates the understanding of and utilization of tools that drive the dissemination ofinformation throughout the organization. Drives the use of appropriate technologies for the functionality requested by the organization. Understands the procedures and expected system performance associated with the introductionof new information technologies while seeking ways to collaborate with other IT members tofacilitate transitions.Delivery: Works with the Solution Architects and PMO to facilitate program and project execution. Assists in the delivery of project requests in a managed services environment and providestechnical support within the defined support process environment.
 
Major Responsibilities: Act as a leader for benefits across the organization; promote usage to relevant departments. Collect and analyze business requirements for large, multifunctional projects and designfunctional specifications based on these findings. Creating the best possible, consistent user experience. Provide technical support as necessary. Installs standard storage solutions following standard configuration and security rules. Installs product patches as they become available from the vendor. Monitors performance and security, taking corrective action as necessary. Participates in capacity planning and management. Participates in the evaluation/implementation of tools and components. Participates in cross-functional analysis of problems. Provides stewardship of licensing and contracts for software and hardware. Develops and implements disaster recovery plans. Provides/administers backup procedures. Provides second-tier support. Seeks opportunities for business improvements and sells these opportunities to the organizationaffected and the IT leadership.
 Translating customer requests and business requirements into specifications and tangibleproduct changes. Troubleshooted storage systems and software. Understands the organization’s strategy for managing and providing information within theStorage Services area. Understanding technical constraints as they pertain to Storage systems. Work with the PMO, the IT Operations Group, Architects, and the Corporate Applications groupto assure that standards, strategies, and processes across the IT service lifecycle (including theSDLC) are adhered to. Work in a global capacity to achieve a defined set of standard storage services.Position
 
Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a business or related discipline required, preferably in a related disciplinelike IS, Engineering, or Computer Science. IT industry certifications (ITIL, PMP, CISA, etc.) are a plus. Certifications in EMC or Pure Storage platforms.Experience: 3-5 Years of relevant experience. Experience with EMC Hardware: Isilon, Unity, Power Store Experience with Rubrik Backup Software and Hardware. Virtual appliances, air gapping,Retention Lock. Proficiency with vSAN clusters. Experience with PureStorage devices. Expertise with Cisco MDS switches, Fabric Manager, Device Manager. Experience with Dell MDM Storage. Familiarity with Windows/Linux/Unix basic systems administration. Experience with the integration of NAS solutions into AD environments. Experience with Windows AD File & Directory Security. Experience with integration of Rubrik with VSphere. Experience with VAST Storage devices (desirable).Language: English (fluency in reading, writing and speaking).Additional Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, oral, written, and team skills. SFIA v4 skill IDs most applicable include but are not limited to ITMG, FMIT, CPMG, AVMT,SLMO, CFMG, CHMG, SCAD, ITOP, REQM, TEST, SCTY, TECH, BPRE, BURM, ARCH,COPL, METL, SURE, and ASMG. Able to demonstrate strategic problem-solving, good decision-making, and sound judgment. Can build or contribute to an inclusive team environment. Demonstrates strong interpersonal communications. Demonstrates a strong customer focus through planning and actions. Acts with initiative and urgency. Shows the ability to be a change leader with adaptability and continuous improvement.
