We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Applications Engineer to join our digital platform product team. Under the guidance of the Principal Architect, you will design, develop, integrate, and optimize Salesforce-based solutions to meet critical business needs. This role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce development, system integration, data management, and performance optimization.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Salesforce Solution Development
- Design and implement custom Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and SOQL.
- Configure and customize standard and custom objects, workflows, and automation processes.
- Develop triggers, batch jobs, and process automation to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
- Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems (ERP, data warehouses, marketing tools, etc.).
- Develop and consume REST and SOAP APIs for seamless data exchange.
- Leverage Azure Integration Services for efficient data integration.
- Proficiency in Azure AD B2C, a Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solution, is a plus.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security within the Salesforce environment.
- Implement ETL processes, data migrations, and deduplication strategies to maintain clean datasets.
- Utilize Field-Level Security and RBAC to protect sensitive data.
- Optimize SOQL queries, Apex execution, and governor limits to improve system performance.
- Implement caching strategies, asynchronous processing, and event-driven architecture for scalability.
- Ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices and platform limitations.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce development using Azure DevOps
- Manage code versioning, unit testing, and automated deployments for efficient release cycles.
- Ensure seamless sandbox-to-production deployments with minimal downtime.
- Enforce Salesforce security best practices, including OAuth, SSO, and MFA.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards.
- Monitor and address security vulnerabilities proactively.
- Work closely with Solution Architects, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Developers to translate business requirements into Salesforce solutions.
- Collaborate with front-end and back-end teams to ensure seamless Salesforce integrations.
- Participate in agile development, sprint planning, and design reviews.
- Provide ongoing maintenance, bug fixes, and enhancements for Salesforce applications.
- Monitor system logs, errors, and performance metrics to address issues proactively.
- Offer technical support and training for end users and stakeholders.
- The Principal Architect defines high-level architecture, system integrations, and platform strategy.
- The Salesforce Applications Engineer ensures Salesforce solutions align with the architecture and meet scalability, security, and integration standards.
- They work together to design efficient, maintainable, and future-proof Salesforce implementations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience in Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and SOQL.
- Experience with Salesforce API integrations (REST, SOAP, Azure Integration Services, etc.).
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security, role-based access, and data protection.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps
- Knowledge of performance tuning, asynchronous processing, and event-driven architecture.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Salesforce certifications Salesforce Platform Developer I/II are Required (Salesforce Application Architect or other certifications are a plus)
