Software Engineer (3) - Core Senior Engineer #1038147Job Description:
- Leverage modern frameworks, open source tools, and cloud technologies to develop software effectively through paired programming and other methodologies like test-driven development, continuous integration and deployment.
- Develop working, tested code across the full stack of technologies.
- Build distributed, service-oriented, cloud micro service-based architectures.
- Develop components across all tiers of the application stack, integrate and deploy developed software, and modify CI/CD pipeline and scripts as vital to improve continuous integration practices.
- Identify minimal viable product and decompose features by story slicing. Identify inter-team dependencies, and ensure that team dependencies are met in timely fashion.
- Ensure functional and nonfunctional quality and on-time delivery using agile and lean principles, embrace extreme programming practices including paired development, test driven development, and continuous delivery to release early and often, and collaborate and work closely together with a balanced team of developers.
- Use Agile programming practices such as pair programming, Test Driven Development (TDD), cloud native technology such as Angular, J2EE, Spring boot, JSF, Primefaces and Linux.
- Work on databases like DB2, PostGreSQL, BigQuery and front-end technologies such as Java Script, Servlets, HTML, CSS.
- The position requires performing Full stack development ranging from native mobile, to web, to server-side engineering.

Experience Required:
- 3 years of full stack software engineering experience in Mac OS and Windows OS.
- 3 years' experience with web service development using SOAP or Restful service.
- 2 years' experience in GCP Cloud Run, Cloud Build or CaaS
Experience Preferred:
- Proficiency in Test Driven Development (TDD), cloud native technology such as Angular, J2EE, Spring boot, JSF, Primefaces and Linux.
- Proficiency in databases like DB2, and front-end technologies such as Java Script, Servlets, HTML, CSS
- Willingness to learn new technologies/skillsets as and when required.
- Good communication skills to interact with business customers.
Education Required: Bachelor's Degree
Education Preferred: Certification Program
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally within Agile methodologies.
- Strong, hands-on experience developing applications with: Angular, React and Spring Boot
- Proficiency in core languages like Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Proven experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or Tekton.
- Hands-on experience integrating and working with application security and quality scanning tools like Checkmarx, Sonarqube, and FOSSA and fixing the reported vulnerabilities.
- Experience with source control management, specifically Git.
- Experience developing and troubleshooting build scripts (e.g., ANT, GRADLE).
- Experience integrating automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright) into build pipelines. - Experience deploying applications to cloud or container orchestration platforms (e.g., PCF, OpenShift CaaS, GCP CloudRun).
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot issues across the full application lifecycle, from code to deployment environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Curiosity and a proactive approach to learning new technologies and improving processes.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, or Grafana.
- Direct experience deploying applications to PCF, OpenShift CaaS, or GCP CloudRun.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Experience with other build tools like Maven.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell).
- Understanding of broader cloud provider services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience working with legacy application types like Struts or JSF in a CI/CD context.
