Data Engineer Senior #1044057Job Description:
- The Principal role of the Data Engineer - Write stored procedures, functions and develop data model to deliver and support the Variable Marketing Product features.
- Responsibilities include development, production/operations support, process and controls. Responsible to liaison with Interfacing PDO teams, Other IT Skill Teams and Business Customers to deliver the product commitments.
- Work with Product Manager, Product Owner and Product Team members on Backlog Refinement, Estimation, Release & Iteration Planning, Delivery and Launch.
Skills Required:
- Database - Oracle, cloud, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Support, POSTGRES, Database Developer, development
Experience Required:
- Senior Engineer Exp: 10+ years Data Engineering work experience
Education Required:
- Bachelor's Degree
Additional Information :
- Writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures.
- Ensuring data integrity, security, and high performance through monitoring and tuning.
- collaborating with development teams
- implementing backup and recovery strategies; and performing database maintenance, upgrades, and migrations to ensure scalability and availability.

- Delivers features/user stories that contribute to a valuable working software product.
- Liason with Interfacing PDO teams, Other IT Skill Teams and Business Customers to deliver the product commitments.
- Should work with Product Manager, Product Owner and Product Team members on Backlog Refinement and Estimation
- Partners with a Product Anchor and Product Designer understand each user story's use case and execute a user-friendly product experience.
- Perform manual/automated unit tests with working software, to confirm software functionality conformance to functional and non-functional requirements.
- Perform manual/automated functional tests to confirm user story acceptance and to detect regression defects.
- Reviews ongoing production software operations and troubleshoots production issues
- Experience is SDLC, Agile and DevOps methodologies
- Experience in Incident Management, Problem Management, Request Fulfillment processes
- Good understanding of IT Security and Controls
- Exposure to Quality Control Procedures and Practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently, liaison with business and other stakeholders
- Possess a continuous improvement mindset
- Should be a self-starter with ability to work on complex changes with minimal guidance.
