Infrastructure Engineering Senior #1043837Job Description:
- We are seeking an experienced Cloud VDI Solution Architect who can independently design, implement, and deliver end-to-end Cloud VDI solutions.
- The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience with cloud-hosted virtual desktop solutions, architecture design, implementation, documentation, and stakeholder management.
- This is a senior, individual-contributor role requiring deep technical expertise and ownership from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities: Architecture & Design
- Lead the end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of Cloud VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) solutions.
- Develop high-level and low-level technical design documents, architecture diagrams, and deployment plans.
- Evaluate customer requirements and convert them into scalable, secure, and high-performing VDI architectures.
- Define solution roadmaps, standards, and best practices for cloud VDI deployments. Implementation & Delivery
- Perform hands-on configuration, deployment, automation, and integration of cloud VDI platforms (Azure Virtual Desktop, Amazon WorkSpaces, Citrix Cloud, etc.).
- Execute full lifecycle implementation including provisioning, image management, profile management, and application delivery.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across cloud, network, identity, storage, and VDI layers.
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and performance requirements. Technical Documentation
- Create detailed technical design documents , implementation guides, runbooks, and operational documentation.
- Maintain solution architecture artifacts and ensure continuous updates through the project lifecycle. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Engage with business stakeholders, architects, security teams, and project managers to ensure alignment across all phases.
- Conduct technical workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and solution walkthroughs.
- Provide expert guidance to internal teams and customers on VDI best practices and optimization.
- Operational Support
- Support migration, transition-to-operations, and post-deployment activities.
- Establish monitoring, performance tuning, and operational processes for VDI environments.
Skills Required:
- Virtualization, Azure, AWS, Desktop Support, Cloud Architecture
Skills Preferred:
- Powershell, TERRAFORM, Zero Trust
Experience Required:
- Senior Engineer 10+ years of overall IT experience, with strong expertise in virtualization and cloud technologies.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with any one of cloud-based VDI platforms, such as: o Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)/ W365 o Amazon WorkSpaces / AppStream o Citrix Cloud / Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops
- Strong understanding of: o Azure/AWS cloud architecture o Identity & access management (Azure AD/Entra ID, Active Directory) o Networking (VNet design, routing, VPN/ExpressRoute/DirectConnect) o Storage performance for VDI workloads o FSLogix, profile containers, image management
- Proven ability to design and implement VDI solutions independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience Preferred:
- Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and licensing models for virtual desktops.
- Ability to lead workshops and training sessions for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (Any one or more): o Azure Solutions Architect Expert o AWS Solutions Architect o Citrix Certified Expert (CCE-V)
- Experience with multi-cloud environments.
- Exposure to Zero Trust security for VDI.
