Software Commodity Engineer #1046384Job Description:
- We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Software Engineer with a strong background in PowerApps, PowerAutomate and PowerBI.
- In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and delivering robust, scalable enterprise-scale applications and analytics using the Microsoft Power Platform.
- The ideal candidate will have approximately 4+ years of total experience in Business Intelligence and Software development, with a significant focus on creating functional PowerApps, streamlined Power Automate workflows, and optimizing interactive Power BI reports.
- This role requires deep expertise in querying and manipulating large datasets within BigQuery, transforming complex data into compelling visualizations, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver impactful business insights.

Experience Required:
- Engineer 2 Exp.: Practitioner: 1 coding language or framework.
- 4+ years in IT; 3+ years in development
Experience Preferred:
- GCP & BigQuery: Strong expertise in SQL, with specific hands-on experience writing complex, optimized queries in Google BigQuery. Solid understanding of BigQuery architecture (tables, views, partitioning, clustering, and cost management).
- Cloud Connectivity: Proven ability to connect Power Platform tools to various data sources, especially BigQuery, and optimize data refresh processes.
- Data Engineering Knowledge: Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and dimensional modeling.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Additional Information :
- Application Development: Design and develop custom business applications using PowerApps (Canvas and Model-driven) to solve complex operational challenges.
- Workflow Automation: Create and maintain enterprise-grade workflows in Power Automate to integrate GCP services with Microsoft 365 environments.
- BI Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, interactive Power BI reports and dashboards that meet business requirements and provide actionable insights.
- Data Modeling: Develop robust data models within Power BI, including complex DAX calculations, M-Query transformations, and optimized relationships.
- GCP Integration: Understand and apply BigQuery best practices for cost optimization, query performance, partitioning, and clustering to ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting sources.
- Environment Administration: Manage and administer Power BI workspaces, datasets, and security roles, as well as Power Platform environment lifecycle management (ALM).
- Performance Tuning: Implement best practices for report and app performance tuning, ensuring fast and efficient data rendering and user experience.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and effective data visualizations. Work closely with stakeholders and data analysts to ensure successful project delivery.
- Governance & Support: Adhere to data governance policies and security standards.
- Conduct user training and provide ongoing support for deployed solutions.
