- Employees in this job function are responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining software applications and products to meet customer needs.
- They are involved in the entire software development lifecycle including designing software architecture, writing code, testing for quality and deploying the software to meet customer requirements.
- Full-stack software engineering roles, who can develop all components of software including user interface and server side also fall within this job function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers to deeply understand their use-cases, pain points, and requirements, showcasing empathy and advocating for user-centric software solutions
- Solve complex problems by designing, developing, and delivering using various tools, languages, frameworks, methodologies (like agile) and technologies
- Assess the requirements of the software application or service and determine the most suitable technology stack, integration method, deployment strategy, etc.
- Create high-level software architecture designs that outline the overall structure, components, and interfaces of the application
- Collaborate with cross functional teams like product owners, designers, architects etc.
- Define and implement software test strategy, guidelines, policies and processes in line with organization vision, industry regulations and market best practices.
- Work on continuously improving performance and optimizing the application and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Familiar with programming practices, such as test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
- Support security practices to safeguard user data including encryption and anonymization.
- Create user-friendly and interactive interfaces as applicable
- Develop and maintain back-end applications like APIs and microservices using server-side languages
- Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies and capabilities to deliver their solutions, and are monitoring and participating in solutions for new stack layers, often involving industry collaboration

Experience Required:
- Senior Engineer Exp: Prac. In 2 coding lang. or adv. Prac. in 1 lang.; guides.
- 10+ years in IT; 8+ years in development
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in 3DX customization, configuration, and architecture. , and software development is mandatory
- Knowledge on Requirements mgmt., verification and validation, issues and route management in 3DX will be key differentiators
- Good Knowledge in Java, Design Patterns, Software engineering best practices etc.
- Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Java, Python.
- Expertise in modern software engineering practices, including Agile development, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
- Knowledge on the CAD concepts, automations (CAA , Macro) would be real good to have.
- Experience working with GEN AI models, RAG & Agentic AI frameworks in solving business problems and improving engineering productivity
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Exposure knowledge of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs would be important.
Experience Preferred:
- Exposure to Google Cloud Platform would be a good to have.

Additional Information :
- He / She would be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing 3DX solutions in BOM, Requirements mgmt., Verification & Validation, Change, Issue management, CAD Data mgmt. space.
- Design, develop, and implement 3DX solutions covering ,
- Data model customization, Schema Design, Global Preferences, other configurations - including Routes, Classifications, Mask files, etc.
- Java Triggers, MQL, TCL, widgets / webservices / JPOs / EKLs
- Dashboards (including Netvibes)
- Build Data migration tools (in and out of 3DX) that involves deep understanding of the Objects, object types, relations, behaviors etc.
- Build 3DX Integrations - Design and implement integration points between 3DX and other up/downstream systems with webservices / microservices.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks, optimize code, and implement best practices to ensure that solution meets the performance requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical requirements, design and delivery.
- Mentor developers provide guidance on technical issues and ensure that the team adheres to best practices and standards.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in software engineering - microservices architecture, NO SQL, and semantic technologies.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in microservices architecture, AI, DevOps and Cloud technologies.
