Infrastructure Engineer #1057338Job Description:
- Employees part of this function are responsible for building and operating IT platform and software resources in on-prem, cloud or hybrid scenarios in support of internal customer needs.
- They are responsible for a wide variety of activities that operationalize cross functional teams such as capacity planning and resource optimization solutions for one-off and long-term workloads, planning, configuring and maintaining servers (including mainframes), creating virtualized environments, providing analytics services, installing and maintaining specialized tools, etc
Key Responsibilities
- Building clusters on Linux, OpenShift, Windows platforms
- Troubleshooting build issues by working with upstream, downstream teams
- Monitor and review resources like CPU, memory, storage, and network traffic to ensure effective utilization aligned with expected parameters and to safeguard against runaway costs.
- Resolve bottlenecks and plan for future capacity needs based on resource usage trends.
- Advise enterprise architecture teams on usage trends to incorporate into future blueprints.
Skills Required:
- Linux - Clusters, Openshift , Developing Automation Scripts , CI/CD, Dynatrace, Infrastructure Architectures
Skills Preferred:
- VMware ESX Servers, Network Engineering, Ansible, Python, Application Development
Experience Required:
- Engineer 1 Exp.: 2-4 years in IT; 2 years in development 1 coding language or framework
Experience Preferred:
- Must have Hands-on working experience with Linux, OpenShift platforms
- Experience on Network, Storage configuration on setting up cluster
- Experience on Observability tools - Dynatrace, Grafana, RHACM, Splunk -Provides L2 engineering support
Education Preferred:
- Certification Program
Additional Information :
- Build and manage the OpenShift platform ecosystem - Containerisation and Virtualisation (Installation, Upgrade, Patching, Monitoring tools)
- Assist in change management of container platform for new versions of OpenShift, Hotfixes, SysAdmin tasks, etc.
- Cluster capacity management and provisioning through automation of underlying hosts
- Provides L2 engineering support
- Works with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing.
