- Employees in this job function are responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining CAD software applications and products to meet customer needs.
- This would in the Core CAD space, which would require - Basic 3DX / CATIA CAD Design Knowledge - CATScript,VBA,EKL,CAA - in 3DX - Basic knowledge on 3DX Knowledgeware Apps [Engineering Rules Capture] - Understanding of the 3DX architecture, Native client apps capabilities.
- Knowledge on AI / ML frameworks and tools ; and adoption of these in the CAD space
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers to deeply understand their use-cases, pain points, and requirements, showcasing empathy and advocating for user-centric software solutions
- Solve complex problems by designing, developing, and delivering using various tools, languages, frameworks, methodologies (like agile) and technologies
- Assess the requirements of the software application or service and determine the most suitable technology stack, integration method, deployment strategy, etc.
- Create high-level software architecture designs that outline the overall structure, components, and interfaces of the application
- Collaborate with cross functional teams like product owners, designers, architects etc.
- Define and implement software test strategy, guidelines, policies and processes in line with organization vision, industry regulations and market best practices.
- Work on continuously improving performance and optimizing the application and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Familiar with programming practices, such as test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
- Create user-friendly and interactive interfaces - as required for Native 3DX Apps
- Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies and capabilities to deliver their solutions, and are monitoring and participating in solutions for new stack layers, often involving industry collaboration
Skills Required:
- 3dx, CAD, AI, CATIA
Skills Preferred:
- DevOps, AI, GCP
Experience Required:
- Engineer 2 Exp.: Proficient in 1 coding language or framework.
- 4+ years in IT; 3+ years in development
Experience Preferred:
- AI / ML Generative CAD experience would be very much preferred
- Mechanical Engg with experience on
- 3DX CAD / CATIA Automation , IT hands on experience
- 3+ years CATScript,VBA,EKL,CAA, 3DX Customizations
- Basic 3DX Design Knowledge
- Basic knowledge on 3DX Knowledge ware Apps [Engineering Rules Capture] 1 coding language or framework. ( C#, Java )
Education Required:
- Bachelor's Degree
Education Preferred:
- Certification Program
Additional Information :
- Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing 3DX solutions in Verification & Validation, Change, Issue management, CAD Data mgmt. space.
- Design, develop, and implement 3DX solutions covering , Data model customization, Schema Design, Global Preferences, other configurations - including Routes, Classifications, Mask files, etc.
- Java Triggers, MQL, TCL, widgets / webservices / JPOs / EKLs
- Build Data migration tools (in and out of 3DX) that involves deep understanding of the Objects, object types, relations, behaviors etc.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks, optimize code, and implement best practices to ensure that solution meets the performance requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical requirements, design and delivery.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in microservices architecture, AI, DevOps and Cloud technologies.
