Software Engineer #1061151Job Description:
- As a Software Engineer, you will join a balanced product team to design, build, and deploy scalable, resilient, and highly available microservices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Working in a collaborative, Full-Stack eXtreme Programming (XP) environment, you will leverage TDD, Pair Programming, CI/CD, and advanced AI-assisted engineering tools to deliver high-impact digital products.
- Key Responsibilities
- Development & Architecture: Design and deploy Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x microservices on GCP. Build APIGEE endpoints, RESTful APIs (Swagger), and multi-tier caching layers (endpoint, cache aside, read/write through).
- Modern Engineering & AI: Leverage AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Gemini Code Assist, Agentic AI) to accelerate design, refactoring, and documentation. Implement AI-driven testing and predictive defect analysis.
- DevOps, SRE & Monitoring: Build CI/CD pipelines using Tekton and Terraform. Automate performance monitoring and predictive telemetry using Dynatrace, Splunk, and AIOps-driven guidelines.
- Technical Leadership & Strategy: Conduct technical discoveries (as-is and future state), evaluate solutions against commercial/cost criteria, and advise teams on cloud design. Mentor junior developers and provide accurate user story estimates.
- Agile Collaboration: Participate in XP practices (Pair Programming, TDD) and Agile ceremonies (scrum, backlog grooming, sprint demos, and journey mapping).
- Required Qualifications
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech / M.C.A.
- Overall Experience: 7+ years in enterprise web application and backend service development.
- Java/Spring Core: 5+ years of technical expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Reactive programming, and data streams/pipelines.
- Cloud Infrastructure:
- 3+ years of cloud experience, including
- 2+ years of hands-on architecture using GCP features (Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Redis).
- API, Security & QA: Experience with APIGEE, SonarQube, Cycode, 42Crunch, and TDD tools (JUnit, Mockito, JMeter).
- DevOps & Monitoring: Deployment experience using Tekton, Terraform, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
- Emerging Tech: Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Copilot/Gemini) and automated AIOps concepts.
- Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- 5+ years of experience architecting fault-tolerant, high-availability microservices.
- GCP and/or Reactive programming certifications.
- Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, DB2) and NoSQL databases.
- Strong SRE experience in Java and GCP to minimize MTTR using AI-powered diagnostic and observability tools.
- 4+ years in Agile Scrum delivering complex, global, headless digital architectures.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills in a global delivery environment.
